Siti Laili is a 35-year-old Indonesian Muslim, married with two children aged 7 and 4. She has prior experience working in Singapore, where her main focus was childcare. She is able to understand simple basic English, though replying in English remains a challenge due to limited practice in speaking.

From 2024 to 2026, she was employed by a Malay family of four consisting of Sir, Ma’am, and two children aged 6 and 4, along with a pet cat. Her responsibilities included preparing breakfast, uniforms, schoolbags, and shoes for the children, walking them to and from school, and providing after-school care. She also cared for the family cat, managed housekeeping duties in an HDB maisonette, and handled cooking and marketing. She worked for more than a year before the employer decided to release her as the children had become more independent.

Siti enjoys cooking Malay and Indonesian home-style dishes such as curries, sambals, yellow rice, steamed eggs, steamed fish, rendang, fried rice, fried fish, and stir-fried vegetables. She cooks according to the taste preferences of family members and adjusts meals to suit the age and needs of each household member.

She is now ready to return to work in Singapore. Her children are well cared for by her family members in Indonesia, allowing her to focus fully on her employment.
